Music is the common thread binding my many failed attempts at career building...

I grew up as much as I ever will in the great state of Alaska, having recently taken up in McCall, Idaho. The previous 10 or 12 years have found me traversing the nation with a long happy stint in Austin, Texas working with the Austin Steamers. Music is the common thread binding my many failed attempts at career building which have run the gamut from 25 years commercial fishing to tour boat captain, merchant mariner, certified stick tool operator, a couple years of climbing up trees and antenna towers, newspaper columnist, garbage-person and pro ski-bum among others (give a listen to the song “Lying”).
I hope that my songs and essays belie my interest in Punk Rock music while weaving through Americana sensibilities that draw from Honky-Tonk Country, Rock-a-Billy, Bluegrass and Old-Time fiddle tune traditions. Throw in an affinity for Be-Bop and Blues and you’ll hear my hopefully unique and original take on the state of the world.
